Our multihead weigher enables automatic and precise dosing of defined product quantities for downstream packaging processes. Multiple weighing hoppers measure individual portions and combine them to achieve the required target weight as accurately as possible.
The multihead weigher is suitable for a wide range of free-flowing and piece goods, including confectionery, snacks, dried fruit, nuts, cereals, frozen products and vegetables, as well as selected non-food products such as screws and other small parts.
Combined with vertical form fill seal machines, premade pouch packaging machines and other filling and packaging systems, the multihead weigher can be integrated into an automated process from dosing to the finished package.
A multihead weigher distributes the product across multiple weighing hoppers. Each hopper measures an individual portion of the product. The control system then calculates the combination of partial weights that comes closest to the predefined target weight.
The selected weighing hoppers open and discharge the combined product quantity to the downstream packaging machine. The next weighing cycle then begins.
This combination weighing principle enables different products to be dosed quickly and precisely before being transferred to an automated packaging process.
